On November 10th, Beijing Yitang Jichuang Technology Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Beijing Yizhuang International Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (“Yizhuang Guotouâ€) and Beijing JiChuang North Technology Co., Ltd. (“Jichuang Northâ€). iML is the world's leading provider of power management, color calibration flat panel display and LED lighting market solutions. The main products are programmable gamma correction buffer circuit chip / common driver chip, power management chip, LED lighting chip, etc. -GAMA products and VCOM products have industry leadership.
As a Taiwan F-share listed company, iML was sold to Exar in 2014. In Exar's revenue composition in recent years, iML's operating revenue accounted for about one-third of Exar's revenue, high gross margin and good asset position.
On June 2 this year, Sui Tang Ji Chuang officially signed an acquisition agreement with Exar. Since then, the acquisition has passed a series of procedures including domestic approval and filing, US CFIUS and Taiwan Investment Review, and was completed on November 10, which lasted only 5 months.
For a long time, several foreign driver IC manufacturers have not taken advantage of LED display and lighting driver ICs. Especially in recent years, the emergence of domestic drive IC companies, especially in the huge price advantage of chip prices, so that foreign manufacturers of similar products in the market has no price/performance ratio.
At the same time, with the maturity of technologies such as LED linear solutions, as one of the core components of LED lighting, the driver IC is entering a new round of product innovation cycle. In this cycle, drive IC companies from China have taken the lead.

As the smart lighting market combines the concepts of smart homes and smart cities to continue to heat up, smart lighting driver ICs are also being fired, which directly promotes the innovation and development of LED driver ICs with intelligent control functions.
For example, unlike the past, smart lighting puts higher demands on driver IC design in hardware such as standby power consumption, wireless protocol selection/APP, transmission distance, and security, and pays more attention to humanized design.
At the same time, the previous round of market competition has also eliminated many small businesses that rely solely on price competition.
