Zhengzhou was approved as a pilot city in the Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Cities
The reporter learned from the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau yesterday that 21 cities including Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing and Shenzhen were approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology as the pilot city for the national ten-city Wanhao semiconductor lighting application project. According to industry analysts, Zhengzhou's selection is of great significance for improving the core technology research and development and innovation capabilities of the semiconductor lighting industry in the city and enhancing the overall competitiveness of the semiconductor lighting industry in the city.
The overall goal of the Ten City Wanhao Semiconductor Lighting Application Project is to promote more than 400,000 semiconductor municipal lighting fixtures in 10 to 21 cities by 2010, achieving an annual energy saving of 60 million kWh and a total power saving of more than 100 million kWh. The semiconductor municipal lighting industry reached 8 billion yuan, driving the output value of semiconductor lighting related industries to more than 100 billion yuan. For engineering pilot cities, the state will support policy and funding.
The semiconductor lighting industry in our city has initially formed a semiconductor lighting industry chain from chip design, device packaging and integration. A large number of backbone enterprises in the semiconductor industry, led by Shengmao Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Hanwei Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. and New Vision Optoelectronics (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd., already have certain R&D capabilities and production scale. Last year, the city's semiconductor lighting industry achieved sales revenue of 1.5 billion, and developed more than 30 kinds of semiconductor lighting products.
As a pilot city for the Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Cities Project, the city has launched a key technology and demonstration and promotion project for semiconductor lighting in this year's major science and technology projects. It is planned to build two demonstration lines, five demonstration areas, five demonstration parks, and 6 by 2015. A demonstration county, 10 demonstration zones, and 100 demonstration communities will promote the application of 120,000 semiconductor lamps, with an annual power saving of more than 90 million kWh, an annual electricity saving of 63 million yuan, and an annual maintenance cost of 55 million yuan.
According to Wang Jichang, director of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, in order to promote the semiconductor lighting demonstration project, the city will introduce a series of measures, such as the municipal level and the county (city), district, development zone finance will set up a special fund for the semiconductor lighting industry demonstration project, do Specialized for special funds; semiconductor lighting production enterprises to establish engineering technology research centers, enterprise technology centers, the municipal government will grant 300,000 yuan to 1 million yuan in subsidies; in Zhengzhou high-tech zone, relying on key enterprises such as Shengmao Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Construction of Zhengzhou City Lighting Industrialization Application Demonstration Base. Through the implementation of the demonstration project, the city plans to accelerate the upgrading of lighting products in the fields of roads, subways, and large public buildings, and promote the rapid expansion of the semiconductor industry in the city and seize the commanding heights of the semiconductor industry in the central and western regions.
