What is Flexographic Printing?
Flexographic printing is also called flexography, or more simply flexo printing. It is a printing technique that uses rotary in-line features to transfer ink and images to a flexible substrate. This allows printers to print on a wider variety of materials, including plastic, cellophane, metallic film and more.
Flexo printing was at first used mainly for food packaging, but new advancements have made it a great choice for many other applications. It is now increasingly used in the packaging industry for corrugated package printing, labels, and more.
What is Plate Mounting Tape?
Plate mounting tape is a double-sided adhesive tape, comprised of either foam or hard vinyl. It is used for mounting or adhering a printing plate onto sleeves or printing cylinders.
It is designed for narrow and wide-web presses to print to film, paper, corrugate and more.

About Pro® 216 Plate Mounting Tape
Pro® 216 is a 20mil double-sided vinyl Mounting Tape with a dual liner Brown Paper and poly film combination. It is best suited for mounting both rubber and photopolymer printing plates.
Pro® 216 unwinds smoothly to ensure easy cylinder coverage and is ideal for printing solid or fine line graphics. It features high adhesion and good shear resistance to ensure no plate movement or edge lift at high speeds or extended print runs.
About Pro® 217 Plate Mounting Tape
Pro® 217 is a 42 mil thick high performance Urethane and Cushion Mounting Tape. This product is specifically developed for use with polymer printing plates of various thickness, ranges and types.
Pro® 217 is used to secure hold-down during the print run. The cushion will release from the plate after printing with nearly no adhesive transfer to the backside of the polymer plate. It has an air release feature that allows for bubble-free mounting.
