Overview
The MAX9634 is a high-accuracy, high-side current-sense amplifier with a VOS of less than 250μV (max), a gain error of less than 0.5% (max), and a quiescent supply current of only 1μA. Available in a tiny 1mm x 1mm UCSP package or a 5-lead SOT23 package, it is ideal for notebooks, cell phones, PDAs and all battery-powered portable devices that require high precision, low quiescent current and small size.
The MAX9634 provides an input common-mode voltage range of 1.6V to 28V. The family of current sense amplifiers has a voltage output and is available in four gain versions: 25V/V (MAX9634T), 50V/V (MAX9634F), 100V/V (MAX9634H), and 200V/V (MAX9634W).
Four gain options provide great flexibility in the selection of external sense resistors. The extremely low 250μV (max) input offset voltage allows a small 25mV to 50mV rail-to-rail VSENSE voltage to maintain an extremely low voltage drop over the entire current measurement range.
The MAX9634 is available in a tiny 4-bump UCSP (1mm x 1mm x 0.6mm package) and 5-lead SOT23 package and is fully specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.
