Judging from the main orders, Taiwan’s relevant departments stated that the increasing demand for handheld mobile devices and the increase in specifications have led to a strong increase in orders for semiconductors such as high-level wafer processes, wafers, and DRAMs, and electronic product orders in March. The annual growth rate reached 10.1%, which was the highest among all major goods. In addition, the information and communications products are also stable due to handheld mobile device assembly foundry, computer foundries to adjust product structure and computer demand, March orders rose 8.6% in order to support the growth of orders before the two major products.
In addition, orders for precision instruments in March decreased 3.6% year-on-year, representing a negative growth for 11 consecutive months; however, Taiwan’s relevant departments also pointed out that the decrease in precision instruments due to the increasing demand for television and computer panels has been reduced. However, due to the gradual recovery of the global economy and the active expansion of the industry, the traditional orders received positive growth in March.
Lin Lizheng, Director of the Statistics Department of Taiwan’s relevant departments, said that the increasing demand for mobile devices led to orders for electronic products and communications products in March, while computers and NB’s parts also saw the foundry’s orders getting better and slowly emerged from the past two years. Weakness, and the rise of panel orders in March also reflected the need for stock preparations for the May Day holiday. However, the low market price of Korea and the mainland panel is still a worrying factor in panel export.

Looking to the future, Taiwan’s relevant departments stated that thanks to the continuous increase in the demand for handheld mobile devices and the continuous upgrading of specifications, it is expected that the electronic product orders will continue to grow. Information and communication products have been driven by innovations in handheld mobile devices, which have led to increased demand, and the retreat of Windows XP software has helped trigger a wave of computer replacements. Precise equipment in response to China's stocking demand on May 1st, helping to stabilize orders, but still face fierce competition in China and South Korea. The receipt of orders from traditional industries has benefited from the gradual recovery of economic conditions in Europe and the United States, and the arrival of the traditional peak season of the plastics industry.
