The continuous patent infringement complaint initiated by Cree in recent years is suffering a lot.

On January 12, 2014, Cree filed an application with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) for alleged violations of US imports and some of the Light-Emitting Diode Products and Components Thereof products sold in the US domestic market. The patents (US Patent Registration Nos. 6614056, 6657236, 6885036, 7312474, 7976187, 8596819, 8628214, 8766298) were applied for the initiation of the 337 investigation.
The accused include: Feit Electric Company, Inc., Feit Electric Company, Inc.-Xiamen, China, Unity Microelectronics, Inc., Taiwan Dongbei Optoelectronics Unity OptoTechnology Co., Ltd.
For the patent litigation filed by Cree, Dongbei Optoelectronics also responded that the company is convinced that its products have no infringement, and that it will face Cree in order to defend its rights with its customers and the company. It is expected to be targeted at Cree after consulting with lawyers. The complaint filed a counter-action.
