ROHM Releases USB Type-C USBPD Evaluation Board "BM92AxxMWV-EVK-001" from mobile devices to 100W homes

ROHM, a world-renowned semiconductor manufacturer, has started selling six "BM92AxxMWV-EVK-001" series for power-receiving evaluation boards , which are realized by USBType-C connector*1) which connects information equipment and peripheral equipment. The series of products referred to as USBPD).

USBPD can achieve up to 100W (20V/5A) power supply between USB Type-C devices that can only support power supply within 15W. Therefore, even a device that requires a large power such as a notebook computer or a TV can be driven by a USB terminal. The newly released "BM92AxxMWV-EVK-001" is equipped with a USBPD controller IC developed by ROHM . It can be used in a combination of six evaluation boards for various applications and a power supply board and a power receiving board. It is easy to use and accept USBPD.
