Littelfuse's new push suppression diode array protects chipsets with geometries of 28nm and below

Littelfuse , Inc., a global leader in circuit protection, today announced the release of its 0.9pF ± 30kV decentralized unidirectional TVS diode array (SPA? Diode) family. The SP3222 family of TVS diode arrays combines a low capacitance rail-to-rail diode with an additional Zener diode to protect electronic equipment that may be subject to destructive electrostatic discharge (ESD). This powerful diode is AEC-Q101 compliant and safely absorbs the highest levels of repetitive ESD discharges above international standards without sacrificing performance.

SP3222 Series TVS Diode Array

The low load capacitance makes it ideal for ESD protection of MIPI cameras and displays, high-speed data lines such as USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and eSATA. This series is ideal for protecting the latest sensitive chipsets with geometries of 28nm and below from destructive ESD damage.

Other applications for the SP3222 family of TVS diode arrays include high-speed serial interfaces, MHL, DisplayPort 1.3, set-top boxes, game consoles, smartphones, external storage devices, notebooks, ultrabooks, tablets and e-readers.

The SP3222 family of TVS diode arrays has the following outstanding advantages:

Low peak voltage (nominal voltage below 40V at 8kVESD) provides the lowest allowable voltage for fast and efficient protection of small sensitive chipsets.

Extremely low dynamic resistance (0.17 ohms) ensures excellent transmission line pulse (TLP) performance, a key element in protecting chips with geometries of 28 nm and below.

· AEC-Q101 certification means that it can continue to work under conditions that are worse than expected.

· The industry standard SOD-883 package reduces overall cost and ensures high product availability.
