Toshiba Lighting Technology will provide led lighting with indicators to the platform of the East Kanagawa Station (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) in JR East Japan. At the East Kanagawa Station, the Yokohama Line and the Keihin Tohoku Line are staggered and run on the same station. The LED lighting fixture that JR East Japan decided to introduce has an indicator that uses the same color as the train line to indicate to the passenger which train to arrive or depart.
The ground illumination lamp used as the platform illumination is equipped with a white light (color temperature of 5000K, average color rendering evaluation index of Ra70) led module , combined with a combination of lighting controller embedded with light sensor and train timetable, compared with when using fluorescent lamps energy saving effect. In addition, some places on the platform will also use station lighting (without indicator) with warm color light (color temperature 3000K, average color rendering index Ra70). By mixing the color temperature of the space, you can maintain comfort throughout the day.
This time, we will provide 332 站 platform lighting with indicator (white light) and 76 站 platform lighting without indicator (warm light), which will be put into use on September 15, 2013. Compared with the use of 179 照明 lighting fixtures with two 110W fluorescent tubes, electricity consumption, electricity and CO2 emissions can be reduced by about 50%.
