Tianjin launches urban lighting project to create LED lighting technology demonstration zone
Recently, the Tianjin Development Zone has already completed the first LED (semiconductor) urban lighting project in China. In the next few years, the development zone will use the world's most advanced semiconductor lighting technology to gradually use LED light sources in the community, landscape, road lighting and other fields to create a LED urban lighting demonstration zone.
Industry sources believe that LED lighting is one of the most promising high-tech fields in the 21st century. LED light source is the fourth generation light source after incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp and high pressure gas lamp. Under the condition of the same illumination brightness, it is more than 50% energy-saving than ordinary lamps, and does not contain harmful substances such as mercury and lead. The average service life can reach 50,000 to 100,000 hours. In January this year, Tianjin has included “high-power LED lighting product development and industrialization project†in 2008 for 20 major projects of independent innovation industrialization.
