Brewing for 3 years, GE is holding hands with Dhaka Electric in Sichuan

GE (General Electric) has been planning a three-year plan and finally broke.

On March 11, the reporter confirmed from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce that the world's top 500 companies and GE have signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chengdu's private enterprise Dhaka Electric (hereinafter referred to as "Dakar"), GE's Consumer and Industrial Products Group. The southwest production base officially settled in Chengdu. This is the first time that GE has set up a production base in the southwest after Shanghai and Guangzhou. It is predicted that the base will strive to achieve an output value of 300 million yuan in three years and realize profits and taxes of more than 10 million yuan.

Industry expert Wang Yiding told reporters that GE has not abandoned its follow-up to the second-tier market in Sichuan while expanding its market in developed regions such as Shanghai and Guangzhou. As early as three or four years ago, it began to open its business in Sichuan through procurement. The establishment of the base is actually an important measure to accelerate the localization of the mainland market.

It is reported that GE is one of the top 500 companies in the world, with operations in the global power, medical, and commercial fields. GE Consumer & Industrial Products is a GE company focused on power distribution and control, high quality appliances, multiple lighting products and lighting control systems. Wang Yiding believes that this hand in Sichuan Dhaka Electric can enable GE to achieve local production, greatly reduce GE's production costs, and increase its sales in the Southwest.

Prior to this, GE and some large enterprises in Sichuan also had small-scale cooperation, involving steel, electronics, chemicals, building materials, food manufacturing, and winemaking. In addition, GE has some cooperation in lighting, infrastructure, etc., but it has not become a climate.

It was not until three or four years ago that GE began to enter the Sichuan market in a big way, and began to expand its business in Sichuan in the form of bulk purchases.

At present, its business has expanded to electromechanical, chemical and consumer industrial products; the research field covers high-tech materials, consumer and industrial products, medical systems, water treatment, infrastructure, energy, aircraft and other fields.
