China's LED lamps cost 60% concentrated on the chip, but because they do not master the core technology, China's LED chips are basically imported from the United States, Japan, Germany, South Korea and other places, resulting in high LED lamp prices.

What makes LED companies even more embarrassed is that when other types of energy-saving products enjoy government subsidies, the LED industry has no national standards, even if the government wants to issue subsidies, there is no standard to rely on. Not only that, but the lack of standards has also caused headaches for LED users. Liu Lei, chief engineer of Nanjing Street Light Management Office, said that because the LED lights of various manufacturers are different in shape, they are round and square, and the maintenance tools and materials are not universal, which brings great trouble to maintenance. It is enough to repair ordinary street lights with three tools, but to fix the LED lights, you have to drive a small truck and load a bunch of materials and tools.

Limited by technology, LED investment to find a way

Optimistic about the LED industry, Foxconn, Hisense, Qumei and other large companies have been involved in the LED market, and many real estate developers have also invested money. But at yesterday's seminar, some people thought that due to technical bottlenecks, LEDs are not suitable for all fields, and investment is the right way.

Liu Lei believes that LED has unique advantages in landscape lighting, small size, flexible design and arbitrary combination. In landscape lighting, a small bridge is illuminated. Some local designers may use 3W, some may use 4W, and some even use 3.5W. LEDs can be realized. Currently, other light sources cannot be used. at this point. Other bulbs should have a color effect, and the color should be painted inside the bulb, and the LED itself is a colored light source, and it will emit colored light. The LED is used as an indicator light and a backlight, and the prospect is also good.

However, he believes that because the high-power LED heat dissipation problem is not solved, the energy saving is not thorough, and there are problems such as uneven color temperature, LEDs are intended to be used as functional lighting such as street lamps, and there is still a way to go.
