Sapphire substrate Taiwan factory Zhaojing, Zhaoyuan March revenue bright eyes
Taiwan's sapphire substrate giants Zhaojing (4969) and Zhaoyuan (4944) saw their performance in March. In the first quarter, Zhaojing's March revenue exceeded NT$300 million to reach 318 million yuan, an increase of 12.35% month-on-month and an annual increase of 357%. Zhaojing pointed out that the company's monthly revenue has reached a new high for 15 consecutive months. The current monthly production capacity is 450,000 pieces. Zhaoyuan currently has a monthly production capacity of 300,000 pieces. It plans to build a sapphire crystal growth furnace plant in Shandong, China. It has passed the stage 1 cabinet buying center review and is expected to be listed in June 2011, becoming the first sapphire substrate plant in Taiwan.
