IPad China Reduces Price by 1100 Yuan to Welcome New Machines

Apple released the iPad 2 with a dual-core Apple A5 processor and front and rear cameras early this morning. It will be available for sale on the US market first on March 11. Although Apple’s current iPad 2 listing plan has not yet listed the Chinese mainland market, it is clear that Apple has begun to prepare for the domestic launch of the new machine.

iPad 2 will first be listed in the United States on March 11th, and the second batch of 26 countries will be listed on March 25th, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Ireland. Hungary, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. In the current listing plan announced, it does not include markets in Greater China such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

However, Apple's first-generation iPad's clearance operation has started simultaneously. In the U.S. market, the first generation of iPads sold for $100. In Apple's official online store, the price of the first-generation iPad has been lowered by 1,100 yuan, a drop that is higher than the US market. The current price of the 16/32/64GB WiFi version of the iPad is 2888/3688/4488 yuan respectively.

Since the price of the iPad 2 in the US market is equal to the original price of a generation of products, it is expected that the price of the iPad 2 will remain at 3988/4788/5588 yuan after listing in the Chinese market.
