In fact, the South Korean government attaches great importance to the development of AMOLED. South Korea estimates that by the end of 2017, it will invest 500 billion won to develop next-generation display equipment and parts and materials development projects, in addition to the domestic production of display equipment and raw materials from the current 50%. It is expected to increase to around 70% in 2015, and plans to take the lead in mass production of AMOLED panels for TV in 2013. The South Korean government believes that the mainland is actively developing the LCD industry. If South Korea wants to maintain the world's largest display producer status, in addition to continuing to develop next-generation displays, it should also consider the development of high value-added equipment and raw materials industries, and AMOLED panels.
