On June 29-30, Dongxing Securities 2010 Mid-term Strategy Meeting was held in Qingdao. Zeng Yiping, a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a report titled "The Development and Prospects of China's LED Industry".
Zeng Yiping pointed out the lack of development of the domestic LED industry. He said that there is no leading enterprise in domestic semiconductor lighting. Although the scale of each enterprise is different, the technical level is basically at a horizontal line. Compared with Europe and the United States, China lacks core technology. China's LED products are basically not at the high end. They are still at a stage of tracking the development of new materials and technologies in Europe, America and Japan.
However, domestic LED companies are developing very fast, and the gap with Europe, the United States and Japan has shrunk a lot. Now it is considered that there may be only a gap of two or three years, which is very gratifying. Zeng Yiping said. He predicts that in the next few years or a long period of time, China's LED companies will undergo more mergers and restructurings.
He pointed out that the space for the development of LDE technology is huge, and the application field will continue to exceed expectations. He suggested that companies should put technology in a more important position than scale, but the scale should also have a limit, so that they have the strength to do research and development.
