The main reason is that silicon carbide substrate (Silicone Carbide) is used instead of sapphire substrate. The thermal conductivity of silicon carbide substrate is almost 10 times that of sapphire substrate (Silicone Carbide has 10 times Vertical thermal characteristics than Saphire). Conductivity directs heat directly in the vertical direction. In addition, there are unique patented technologies for the formulation and coating of phosphor powder. Edison is a well-known high-power LED packaging manufacturer in Taiwan. High-power LED components are mainly in the form of Lead frame packages, and in the second half of 2008, components of smaller COB packages were also introduced. Available LED specifications range from 1W to 100W.

Qiqi Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. was founded in 2004 and applied for patents in the United States through its parent company LUSTROUS. It is manufactured by Qiqi and sold under the LUSTROUS brand.
Qi Wei's general manager Liu Jiaqi particularly emphasized the company's own high-power COB packaging patents. Since the COB packages on the market almost all have parallel structures, only Qiqi has the ability to make vertical structures.
