Feel Three: Can meet the needs of a more immersive VR experience
For many users of virtual reality (VR), one of its most attractive parts is the immersive feeling, as if you are actually in a virtual environment. Many users want to go further and find ways to make the VR experience more immersive. A newly launched device called Feel Three on Kickstarter aims to meet this demand.
Feel Three is advertised as an "affordable, modular, and customizable simulator." This device is specifically designed for VR, and by adding full body feedback, it provides new features for immersive experiences, such as actions.
Sports simulator equipment is usually reserved for large-scale virtual reality games or other large-scale attractions, because of its large scale and considerable cost, but its goal is to bring this function to home virtual reality users.
The result is a semicircle, which is located on a base with wheels and motors that allow the user to move in three different degrees of motion-yaw, pitch and roll. By using a hemisphere, this means that the device is relatively easy to move. The simulator device is synchronized to a tracker near the headset to provide continuous real-time updates to ensure a smooth experience.
Users can modify their feel by adjusting the armrest area. Both areas contain a movable board that can accommodate most commercially available controllers. You can also add a steering wheel or flight joystick holder.
Feel Three’s initial goal was to raise £50,000, but they quickly surpassed the goal and have reached £62,547.
