Everlight beats Seoul Semiconductor to defend the patent battle and return to the next city
The leading manufacturer of LED optoelectronics industry in the world, Yiguang Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yiguangâ€) received the decision of the Korean Patent Office on April 5, 2018, confirming that the Everlight patent KR768539 is valid and cancelled. Seoul Semiconductor (Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd.) patent invalidation request, Yiguang confirmed this.
Yiguang has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the German District Court of Mannheim on May 4, 2017 and July 3, 2017, accusing Seoul Semiconductor and its distributor Neumüller Elektronik GmbH (Neumüller) of infringing the patented technology of Everlight. The court is also required to issue an injunction against infringing products, including prohibition of trafficking, manufacturing, import and export. Everlight also requested Seoul Semiconductor and Neumüller recycling, inventory destruction and damages. Yiguang believes that it will win the successful judgment.
The company's patent distribution covers all important markets in the US, China, Japan, Europe and Taiwan. The patented technology covers high, medium and low power LED products and is suitable for backlighting, lighting and automotive applications.
Yiguang fully defends the rights of customers and shareholders, and must take legal action against infringements.
