The LTC2870/LTC2871 are multi-mode RS232/RS485 transceivers that support RS232, RS485 and RS422 protocols and operate from 3V to 5.5V. The LTC2870 can be configured as two single-ended RS232 transceivers or one differential RS485, while the LTC2871 provides two RS232 transceivers. Independent control of an RS485 transceiver. Mainly used in flexible RS232/RS485/RS422 interface, software-selected multi-protocol interface, POS terminal, cable repeater and protocol converter.
